From May to November the Costa Rican countryside comes alive with lush vegetation and an abundance of blooming flowers. It is considered their winter however the air is warm, humid and fragrant. You may get daily rain during your travels or you may not see any rain. Typically you might see intermittent or evening showers. It is the peak season for surfing as waves are at their best. The ocean waters are an almost consistent 74 degrees. Sea turtles come to nest during the green season. The rivers are high and at optimum for thrilling whitewater rafting.
