Oasis Resort ...is a luxury boutique hotel serving the
gay and lesbian community and their friends in the
tropical paradise of Costa Rica. Conveniently located in
San Jose on the stately Boulevard Rohrmoser it is a
stylish and intimate complex with all the amenities you
would expect from a 5-star hotel.
Rooms range from simple, elegant doubles to one and two
bedrooms suites and a fully-equipped apartment. All are
richly furnished in a casual, contemporary style. Our
Spanish style complex includes a Swimming Pool, Sundeck,
Jacuzzi, Mini-Gym, Massage Room, Cable-TV Lounge, Orchid
"Rainforest" Bar and Great Room.
Rooms range from the simple
to the deluxe, and include suites
and apartments all casually furnished with paddle fans,

located in San Jose on the stately Boulevard Rohrmoser
on the west side (northwest corner of The Triangle),
less than 10 minutes by car/taxi to the Park La Sabana
and only a few more minutes to Central San Jose ($3 to

on Costa Rica's Pacific Coast under gay/lesbian
management for our gay/lesbian guests, their relatives
and friends. Our resort is located on a
gentle hillside overlooking the Manuel Antonio National
Park and Manuel Antonio's sparkling beaches.
The area is safe, frequented and loved by national and
international gay and lesbian tourists. Although the
area has a very well developed infrastructure it is
intentionally not attracting mass tourism.
The beaches are considered to be among the most
beautiful beaches of Central America and the world and
are in walking distance from the hotel. Our Hotel features a
unique panoramic view overlooking the National Park
Manuel Antonio comforted by a steady refreshing breeze
from the ocean.
The beach and National Park can be reached easily on
foot or bus (ca. 10 minutes walking to the beach or a 10
minute bus ride to the entrance of the National Park).
Various national and international restaurants, bars,
cafes, gift shops are located only a short walk away in
the direct neigborhood of our hotel.
A local Bus connects Quepos town with the National Park
many times per day. Both bus services stop at a bus stop
located at the front gate of our hotel.

Hotel Mandarina
has a history in Manuel Antonio since the early
1990's. It has previously been known as Hotel El
Dorado Mojado and Hotel Kekoldi. Under new
ownership since May 1st, 2007, the 12 unit hotel
has been given the new name, Hotel Mandarina.
Mandarina is known as a small orange, like a
tangerine, in Costa Rica.Although, the hotel
rooms do not have ocean views, they are set back
off the road, away from the noise. Nestled
against the lush
jungle backdrop, the rooms surround a blue-tiled
pool that has a small decorative waterfall. It
is a very private place to relax and watch the
small monkeys swinging through the overhead
canopy. Each room has recently been fitted with
new, comfortable mattresses (3
units have KING size beds)
and new air conditioning units, as well. Hair
dryers are available upon request.Cable TV,
coffee makers and small refrigerators are in
each room. LCD TV's with DVD players are
available in select units.
Some rooms have
OPEN AIR SHOWERS!
You can walk down to a secluded beach in 20
minutes or you can take a quick 5 minute drive
over to the main beach.
Several excellent restaurants and cafes are
within walking distance as well.

available. A cloud forest is a highland
forest characterized by nearly 100% humidity
throughout the year. Here in Monteverde, warm
North-Easterly trade winds, filled with moisture,
blow in over the Atlantic. As the winds sweep up
to the Continental divide, they cool and
condense to form clouds, bathing the forest in a
constant soft mist.
